Meeting the Shadow Self
We have all been introduced to the concept of the "shadow side" of ourselves, where we store our deepest traumas. Instead of fearing these shadowy aspects of our experiences and personalities, it is important to examine and embrace this unseen and obscured part of our lives. It is within these darker spaces that we can cultivate sacred attention and compassion, and bridge the gap between darkness and light. Without these experiences, we cannot fully comprehend and transform into beings of love and light, embodying the essence of unconditional love.
We must uncover and look into our shadows and observe ourselves and our actions when we are devoid of light—it is a crucial part of our journey. However, it's important to have a guide, a trusted individual who can reflect the light back to us and illuminate the possibilities we may not be aware of in the moment. This guide helps us navigate the steep rocks and find stable ground.
The past year has brought more intense light into our lives, light that we can no longer reject or ignore. We are faced with a choice—to stand into this light, transform, and reconnect with our spirits, or to turn away, rejecting the opportunity and succumbing to pain and suffering, where hope seems out of reach.
We are at a crossroads in consciousness here and now—do we choose a life of joy, creativity, and love, or do we choose to create through suffering?
